Children's Choir

Our children's choirs give children an opportunity to serve their church and gives children a chance to minister to others through music. Participation in the choir gives children an opportunity to take a leadership role in the Children's service. It gives them a sense of responsibility for the ministry of the church and helps them identify with the traditional form of worship as they grow to adulthood. Also, children's choirs provide opportunities to build Christian character. A choir is a team with a common goal; the qualities of promptness, self-control, cooperation, and commitment must be developed in choir members if the group is to accomplish its purpose of praising the Lord.

Children's Sunday School

We learn, pray, play, serve, create, and make a joyful noise together. These classes are for all children, ages 3-11. Adults are invited to learn with us as teachers and assistants. We study the Bible stories on our wonderful wall mural painted in Hiers Hall. Once we were no people, but now we are God’s people.

Children's Chapel

All children, 4K to 3rd grade, are invited to Children’s Chapel. At the 10:30 AM service, during the Gloria, all children follow the cross out of the church to Children’s Chapel. We have instruction based on the day’s lessons presented in a way suited to our youngest members’ understanding. After Children’s Chapel, the children will be brought back into “big church” during the Peace to enjoy the remainder of the service with their families.

Nursery

St. Thomas is blessed to have a devoted nursery staff. The nursery is open Sunday mornings from 7:45 until Noon, on Wednesdays from 9:30 AM until 1:00 PM and for special events (i.e. Lenten Services, Lobsterfest, the Seder Supper, and others).
